McDonald's same-store sales rise by eight point two percent in November.

Every bodies favourite fast food restaurant chain McDonald's have announced that same-store sales have risen by 8.2% in November,

For those of you who are not aware, same-store sales are sales at restaurants that have been open at least thirteen months.  Same-store sales are a good indication of a retailer's performance as it measures the growth at existing outlets as apposed to newly opened ones.

In the United States of America, same-store sales are said to have risen by 4.4%, citing the sale of coffee, breakfasts and the popular Dollar Menu range as one of the reasons for this increase.

In Europe same-store sales grew by around ten point eight percent, with the sales of premium burgers and chicken based products boosting the sales in Germany, France and in the United Kingdom.

For those of you that are interested in the New York Stock Exchange, McDonald's shares rose to $61.25 on Monday in pre-market electronic trading from the close of $60.16 on Friday
